Communication

Sometimes, communication with people from somewhat more indirect cultures is much, much easier. For example, when I told my Turkish student that we are not allowed to tell students that they can leave early after their big test, he understood immediately. He gathered his things and was gone in an instant, and I hope he is now relaxing from his four-hour ordeal.

Good News! Good News!

My little cousin Vince went into surgery today - and the doctor was able to save his elbow! Since he is a skateboarder, his range of motion is really important to him. They're warning him to be careful not to break the stem, though.

My other cousin is being closely watched by a cardiology team and they are most likely going to save both her and the baby. Talk about the best possible outcome! I really pray she doesn't become pregnant again before they are able to fix her heart problems, though; this is too stressful a ride.

It's late and I ought to be in bed, but good news! Hooray, Vince!

My moods tonight have been incredibly up and down. *sigh* Time for bed.
